Today has been a fairly productive day in that i have written a shed load of reviews and features for my portfolio which has to be handed in at the end of the month. On the other hand it is 5pm and i still haven't got dressed yet, woops!... Although this is my first attempt i have decided to post my News feature on Breaks forthcoming album "Resistance" Read away... :)
Breaks “Resistance” LP on the horizon
Breaks forthcoming LP “Resistance” is due for release on the 29th November. It will be the second LP from his own label Symmetry Recordings and it is set to be one of the biggest releases of 2010.
With any new release many tracks tend to be leaked on the internet but this time Break has managed to keep it pretty much under wraps with only a couple of teasers available on Youtube. One track that has already become a hit in the clubs is “Slow down’ featuring DJ Die with chilling vocals and hard hitting bass you can see that both artists hold no prisoners. Break has worked especially hard to complete the album “It’s been a long haul, people are playing it now and its getting some good feedback... i’m just keen to get it out there” Its not just about the harsh breakdowns and heavy basslines though . “Between the lines” features Shogun Audios SP:MC but not as you’ve heard him before “I got SP doing a sort of vocal drum and bass tune, kinda almost like a song with a 16 bar lyric” Other artists featuring on the album include Calyx and Teebee with the track “Don’t look down (which has featured on the Shogun Audio podcast).Kyo, Silent witness and survival also collaborate on the album.
With an eclectic range of artists accompanying Break on this release there is no wonder why people are on the edge of their seats waiting for the release day!
